New project

I have begun a new project... I think it counts as a tapestry? Anyways, it's inspired by the Stupid Pony ala Hark! A Vagrant!

It's faint, but it will be vibrant.

Baby, it's cold outside!

Next craft night I am formally requesting warm rounds of cocoa! It is chilly in Seattle!

Jen came over last week with our friend Jenna of Calgary. Technically Jen is a Calgarian, too, but Jenna is visiting from there! Yay Jenna!

Jen has finished the purple blanket for her niece! An important feature is to notice the little tassles on the end, she says these were added because her niece finds comfort in rubbing tassles under her nose! So cute!

I have two napkins done, and just started on the third...

Not gonna lie

I'd have a new profound interest in sports if they looked like this:

I am inspired! Found on Jenny Hart's blog, embroidery by Lauren DiCioccio.

A cup of Glee

Here's how to prepare a successful craft night:

1. Gather your crafters into the same room.
2. Distribute delicious cheese danish cakes to crafters.

3. Turn on the tv to your local Fox station for the 2nd season premier of Glee!
4. Mix in ample amounts of crafting!

Jen's work in progress, blanket for her neice

Talk about a stressful episode: it was full of controversial quips, pranks, and situations. I enjoyed it, and it was a strong premier, esp for Glee. I wanted to be in Glee club so bad, and that Sunshine..... I would die to have an effortlessly smooth voice like that!

Ok so now look at Digital Misfit's free Foxy Felix embroidery pattern. Actually don't just look at it, print and stitch it!!!

I didn't take a picture of my napkin progress because my bird's head is incomplete- and for his dignity, I thought I'd wait until his face is apparent! Stay tuned for the next episode of craft night!

In Stitches

Craft night for Tuesday 9/14 was Jen and I!

I am working on napkins! I didn't get pictures of Jen's blankets that she was working on, but they are lovely!

This dandelion is what I'm currently stitching!

I don't know why there are gray bars at the bottom of the photo. I finished the danelions last night, except for the leaves. Next week, birdie!

Look at this magical wall of embroidery hoops from Purl Bee:

the pull

hello world!

My lovely friends and I have craft nights- it's where we craft things!
It's fun because we all do different types of crafts, so you never know what will be created that night.

Right now craft nights are on Tuesdays, we had a very productive night- Jen(she will be starting a blog soon, hopefully!) is making napkin holders by crocheting wire with beads. Natalie is woodburning her family crest onto her keepsake box. I am embroidering a set of six napkins with patterns by Kurt Halsey.

I'm using the bee and some dandelions

Also, if you need a lovely gift idea for the holidays, look at this beautiful stamped calendar. It's a piece of art!
